Type of Dreads I Can Make For You
There are many types and styles of dreads in the synthetic dread world, the ones listed below are ones I am confident with making and will happily make for your custom commission~ When referring to specific styles make sure to say the name of the style so I can get your dreads perfect for you.
Single Ended
Single Ended dreads can either be braided into your hair or put onto a ribbon, string or hair-tie. Single Ended dreads look more naturally installed when braided in.
Double Ended
Double Ended dreads are braided into your hair through the middle so two dreads are from one braid.
Solid
Solid dreads consist of one (1) color
Blended
Blended dreads consist of 2 or more colors.
Curly
Pictured is a Single Ended Curled dread, both double ended and single ended dreads can be curled.
Transitional
Transitional dreads are gradients between 2 or more colors (also known as Ombre).
Harlequin
Harlequin dreads must be double ended and consist of two colors separated at the middle of the dread.
Candy Cane
Candy Cane dreads consist of two colors twisting around each other for a "candy cane" effect.
Bondage
Bondage dreads have hair or string criss-cross down the dread.
Wrapped
Wrapped dreads have a crimped texture.
Bubble Wrapped
Bubble wrapped dreads were created and made popular by Mommy's Dreads, and have a bumped uneven texture.
Knotty Wrapped
Knotty Wrapped dreads are a SynDread original, these dreads looked wrapped in an uneven fashion.
Natural
This particular style of the natural dread is a SynDread original. These dreads look much less synthetic and less organized as regular dreads.
